Top 10 Best iPhone Chargers in 2024
Apple has a bad habit of using standards different from anybody else. While pretty much any other smartphone manufacturer uses micro USB as a standard for their devices, Apple decided to use their Lightning connector which means that a whole new array of third party chargers had to be introduced. The biggest problem is that accessories sold directly by Apple are significantly overpriced. Third party manufacturers offer a good alternative to save money and get something as basic as a Lightning cable or charger.
The biggest problem with chargers is that it can be quite easy to lose them. We all know that there is always that one guy at the office that comes asking for a charger and sometimes they might forget to bring it back. What most people do is to get a third party charger just to have it with them at the office or for traveling. The good news is that they are inexpensive and some models are even Apple certified which means that they are safe. At the same time, they are usually compatible with pretty much all their devices that can be charged using a Lightning connector. The speed at which they are charged can vary depending on the output of the charger which is why some people complain or praise certain aftermarket chargers.
Best iPhone Chargers in 2024
To make things easier we decided to make our own list of aftermarket chargers that are worth spending money on. To keep things short let’s jump right into our list of the top 10 best iPhone chargers in 2024 reviews.
Table of Contents
10. Pager Pack Of 2 Chargers For iPhone
The Pager pack of two chargers for iPhone offers great value for the money. It is cheap and works with iPhone 5, 6, 7 and the iPad Mini. Each charger comes with a detachable Lightning cable that can also be used to connect the device to a laptop or computer. It has an output of 5 volts and 1 amp. The charger is also quite compact and travel-friendly. The model cam be used for other smartphones as well if a micro USB cable is used. Also, each Lightning cable measures 3 feet which should be long enough.
The build quality is average at best. The cable seems flimsy and the charger itself seems to be made out of a cheap plastic. They are functional and work as expected and for the money, poor build quality should be expected.
- Great value for money
- Can be used for non-Apple products as well
- Comes as a pack of two
- Poor build quality
9. OoRange Wall Charger For iPhones
OoRange offers a decent wall chargers for iPhones that comes in the same format as most other aftermarket chargers. It is a kit that consists of two chargers and two Lightning cables. The price tag of the kit makes them quite attractive as purchase and they work just fin. The output is 5 volts and 1 amp and it works with iPhone 5, 6 and 7 as well as iPad Air, iPad and iPad mini. Pretty much all devices that have a Lightning connector. Each cable in the kit measures 3 feet and they come only in white.
One issue that most will notice is that the charger does not work all the time. This is more of a mistake from the manufacturers that failed to mention that the logo on the cable needs to be facing up when a device is plugged in. When it is turned with the logo facing down, the devices will not charge.
- Comes as a pack of two
- Great price
- Decent build quality
- Manufacturers do not specify that the logo should be facing up when plugged in
8. Cellstall iPhone Accessory Pack
The Cellstall iPhone accessory pack comes as a complete kit with a modest price tag. Inside the pack users will find a wall charger, a car charger and two lightning cables. The wall charger comes with two USB ports which means it can charge two iPhones at the same time. The USB cables are not the same as one measures 6 feet while the others is just 3 feet. In terms of output the wall charger has 3.4 amps which means that it will charge an iPhone rather fast. The car charger has an output of just 1 amp making it much slower to charge an Apple device.
One of the problems that users will notice is that the Lightning cables are of poor quality. They feel flimsy and do not seem to last a lot but the good news is that the kit does come with a one year warranty.
- All-in-one kit
- Long 6 feet lightning cable
- Wall adapter charges fast
- Poor quality cables
7. Necano iPhone Charging Set
Necano iPhone charging set is a simple kit and unlike other models it does not come as a two pack. It comes with a small and simple wall charger that features one USB port. For that USB port the manufacturers included a Lightning to USB cable that can also be used as a data cable for a laptop or PC. It comes in a white color with the Lightning cable being covered in a rubberized material that makes it less likely to get it tangled. Charging is fairly fast and comparable to a genuine iPhone charger.
The model seems to be rejected by some iPhone models. iPhone 7 seems to be fine with it but older models such as the iPhone 6 seem to either charge slow or just reject the charger. The cable on the other hand should prove its worth.
- Good build quality
- Compact
- Inexpensive
- Does not work properly with older versions of the iPhone
6. Onson iPhone Charger With Dual USB Ports
The Onson iPhone charger offers a lot of utility for a small price tag. It is one of the few models in our list that actually comes with two USB ports. It includes a Lightning cable that can be used to charge an iPhone while the other port can be used to charge any other type of phone or even a second iPhone. The output of the charger is restricted at 5.1 volts and 2.1 amps. It charges fairly fast and can be found in black or white. The plug of the model is foldable making it travel friendly while the cable itself measures 6 feet which is more than enough.
Some users complain that the charger stops working after some time but the manufacturers has a good track record of sending replacements. One major issue that the manufacturer will not cover is the quality of the Lightning cable it comes with. It is very stiff and becomes even stiffer when used for example in a cold room or exposed to low temperatures.
- Affordable
- Comes with two USB ports
- Charges fast
- Lightning cable is a bit too stiff
5. FeBite iPhone Charger Dock
The FeBite iPhone charger dock makes charging a lot easier. It is actually designed as a dock. All it takes is to slide the iPhone into the base and take it out when it is fully charged. The base is covered with silicone to prevent it from slipping while the dock itself will keep the phone tightly into place. It works with all the iPhone versions with the Lightning port which means that it supports the iPhone 5 and above. The dock is reasonably priced and charges decently fast if it is connected to a powered USB port.
One of the things that some would complain about is that it comes just with the dock and a USB cable to connect it to a laptop or computer. It can be connected to any charger that has a USB port but the Lightning cable it comes with is a bit short.
- Easy to use
- Good price tag
- Works with older iPhones
- It does not include a wall charger and the cable it comes with is a bit short
4. BEST VALUE: Ziku Charging Dock For iPhone
Ziku is a rather unknown brand but their charging dock for iPhones has been praised. One interesting fact about it is that the product is Apple certified which means that it offers a certain quality level. The model works with the iPhone 7 and older models. It can also be used with a phone that has a case on which is a great plus. The model does not include a wall charger but it can be connected to one or it can be used to charge directly from a USB port. Its Lightning cable it comes with can be used also as a data cable.
Despite what the manufacturers claim the model does not work well with all the cases on the market. If the case is too thick then the phone will not fit well and it will be unable to properly make the connections in order to get charged.
- Apple certified
- Good metal construction
- Works with most iPhone cases
- Does not include a wall charger
3. OUR FAVORITE PICK: Francois et Mimi Apple Certified iPhone Charger
No products found.
Francois et Mimi might be an odd name for a brand but their iPhone charger is quite decent. It is an Apple certified product which means that it is superior in quality. The model comes as a kit that consists of a wall charger and a Lightning cable. Its power output is 2.4 amps which means that it can charge the phone quite fast. It is also backwards compatible with older iPhones and the pins can be folded making it travel friendly and easy to store. As for pricing the charger can be considered affordable.
What most would find annoying about the charger is the Lightning cable included. It is a bit stiff, difficult to fold and pretty much feels a bit cheap. It works well but these days everyone is used to cables that have rubberized coating and that are very easy to fold.
- Apple certified product
- Affordable
- Works with older models of iPhone as well
- The Lightning cable is a bit too stiff
2. Shackle iPhone Car Charger
We had to include a car charger in our list. They prove their worth especially in those moments when the battery is drained while on a trip somewhere. It is a simple charger that needs to be plugged into the car lighter outlet. It works with all Apple products that use a Lightning port including iPods and iPads. The kit consists of the charger itself and a small Lightning cable. Its lightning cable is made out of a high quality material with a rubberized coating that prevents tangling.
One major con of this particular charger is the fact that it is a bit difficult to pull out of the cigarette socket. The side pins that are a bit too exposed and they will cause the charger to get a bit stuck inside the lighter.
- Fast charging enabled
- Affordable
- Works with older versions of iPhone that have a Lightning port
- Is a bit difficult to pull out
1. BEST SELLER: BE Connected iPhone Charger
Be Connected offers a great iPhone charger that despite the fact that it is not an Apple certified product, it works much better than most other models in our list. It is selling well and it charges fast. Its output is about 2.4 amps and works with iPhones and other Apple products. Inside the kit users will find a regular wall charger and a separate Lightning cable with 8 pins. This means that it can used as a data cable and it can be used to charge a device.
There is very little that can be said about the product in terms of cons. In fact it is difficult to find something better for the same price. The quality of the cable could have been better but as it is, it works just fine.
- Affordable
- Supports fast charging
- Cable is Apple certified but not clearly stated
- none
Things To Keep An Eye Out
Not all chargers work with all iPhones even if the manufacturers might state otherwise. Also the output is quite important. A 1 amp charger will charge an iPhone much slower than a 2 amp one. Just because a charger is more expensive does not mean it is better. What matters is to look at its output, the number of pins on the cable and what others have to say about the product.
For our list we managed to select several different models that work with iPhones both the current generation and older ones. There are some clear differences between them and some even offer a great deal as they come as a two pack. What matters the most is to check the output and not to go for something too expensive otherwise, it would be better to get a charger from the official Apple store. The whole purpose of getting an aftermarket charger is to save money as Apple has exaggerated prices for accessories.
